Pixie Cut

I did it!! I chopped it all off! After obsessing over pixie cuts for a while (evidenced by my Pinterest page), I decided to just go for it. 

I brought in this collage I made:

I'm loving it! It was less shocking than I actually thought it would be. I feel very comfortable with it. Sometimes I see a glimpse of myself in a mirror and am thrown off for a second, like, who is that? haha My husband is away until late next week, with no contact, so he won't even see it until then! I'm so curious to hear what he thinks! He knew I was getting it cut this short and definitely had his doubts.

Don't mind the indent in the back. That's just from a headband I wore!

More pictures of my hair! She used a mix of gel and pomade yesterday and then a spray wax/texturizer as well (all by Eufora). I didn't purchase any of them because I'm still not sure if they are vegan but they sure are great! I woke up this morning and my hair still felt (as in not greasy) and looked great! Didn't need to wash it or turn to dry shampoo.  I'm thinking of picking up this Giovanni wax. I'd like a spray one though too. Maybe a sea salt spray would work well? The Not Your Mother's Hair one looks good. Recommendations?

Also, I recently ordered these shoes from Target and I love them! I was looking for black sandals that weren't super casual. I love the block heel and stud like detailing. Thankfully, they are super comfortable! I promised myself no matter how cute they were I'd return them if they gave me blisters (like so many Target brand shoes do) so I'm quite glad I get to keep them!

I have a hair appointment later today and omggggg I cannot wait to see the results!

• He loves to curl up on the couch with a pillow in the evening when I watch tv. I can't say no!
• New aviators! I was wanting a colorful reflective pair like this. $4.99 at Ross!
• Love this flowy workout top from Old Navy after altering it a bit
• Wearing my favourite compression capris (also Old Navy!) and my Camp Pendleton Mud Run shirt from this year.
• UFC date night with the husband. You know, the usual! Love me some beer, husband and MMA (so it's fitting that I just booked us a 4 night trip to VEGAS for the UFC convention!!!)
• Made this headband recently! It has wire in it like the AA ones.
• Whole fruit margarita from my Vitamix cookbook.

New Salon Perfect Polishes

I finally got my hands on some of the new Salon Perfect polishes! Love them. You can find them at Walmart. Here I did a gradient look using Salon Perfect "Exploded" which is orange and yellow. As the base I used Orly "Melodious Utopia" which I recently got on clearance at Sally Beauty Supply. I need more Orly polishes in my life because I love how the apply! This is a great neon yellow with a gold/bronze flash.  I did three coats.

Here we have Salon Perfect "Kaboob" (one coat) over a gradient of Julep "Nikki" (vegan) and OPI "Jade is the New Black".

The green is Bettina "Mojito" (cruelty free and I think vegan), the glitter is Hot Mess Lacquers "Across the Trailer Park" (vegan) and the silver is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Celeb City".

 This was a manicure from last week that I just added some simple stripes to.
